Hanna Gersmann studied geography in Marburg and Gießen. After working for the Federal Environment Agency and as an editor for the environmental magazine of Springer-VDI-Verlang, she worked for the taz from 2002 to 2013, most recently as head of the domestic department.

She currently writes for die-korrespondenten.de from the House of the Federal Press Conference in Berlin, mainly on environmental, consumer and economic policy.
