Emanuel Alencar studied Journalism at the Fluminense Federal University (Universidade Federal Fluminense – UFF), where he graduated in 2006. He has a post-graduation in Environmental Management, a program offered by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ) in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). He worked for the Magazine „Ferroviária“ (Railway), for the press office of Eletronuclear (Eletrobrás Thermonuclear S/A), the newspapers „O Fluminense“ (Niterói, Rio de Janeiro), „O Dia“ and „O Globo“. Currently, he is content editor of the Museu do Amanhã (Museum of Tomorrow). He regularly writes a column on „O Eco“– an online forum for environmental journalism.
