Dr. Philmon Ghirmai was the long-time spokesperson of the executive committee of Alliance 90 / The Greens Neukölln until his election as state chair of Berlin at the end of 2021. As a member of the Diversity Working Group, he helped to draft the pioneering diversity statute of the Greens. He played a key role in shaping the highly regarded diversity process at state level. He studied history, political science and law and earned a doctorate in history. His book "Globale Neuordnung durch antikoloniale Konferenzen" was published in 2019.
