Antje von Broock
Managing Director Politics & Communication at BUND

Antje von Broock (born 1976) spent her childhood in Lower Saxony and in the Turkish capital Ankara. During her school years, she studied in Norway for a year.

She studied political science, communication science and linguistics in Göttingen, Potsdam, Berlin and Rennes/France.

In 2003, she took over the management of the regional office of the Green MEP Elisabeth Schroedter. Here she was responsible for press relations, contact with citizens and the exchange of ideas with the parliamentary group of Alliance 90/The Greens. Between 2004 and 2007, she was able to combine her professional and voluntary commitments as co-spokesperson of the Federal Working Group on Europe.

In 2006, she moved to the Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland (BUND)/Friends of the Earth Germany and has since been responsible for international environmental policy and cooperation with BUND's international NGO networks. Since 2012, she has led the Climate & Energy team and is part of the management of the federal association. From 2015 to 2019, she was deputy managing director for the Policy & Communication division, and in 2020 she took over as managing director of the division.

She lives with her family in Berlin.
