Gary Younge ist ein preisgekrönter Autor, Rundfunksprecher und Wissenschaftler mit Sitz in London. Ehemals Kolumnist bei The Guardian wurde er zum Professor für Soziologie an der Universität Manchester ernannt. Außerdem ist er Alfred Knobler Fellow für Type Media in Amerika. Er hat fünf Bücher geschrieben: Another Day in the Death of America, A Chronicle of Ten Short Lives; The Speech, The Story Behind Behind Martin Luther King's Dream; Who Are We? and Should it Matter in the 21st century; Stranger in a Strange Land, Travels in the Disunited States and No Place Like Home, A Black Briton's Journey Through the Deep South. Er hat mehrere Radio- und Fernsehdokumentationen über Themen von der Homo-Ehe bis hin zu Brexit gedreht.
